I love living in a small rural town sometimes. The Walmart is tiny and about 10 miles from home, but when they need to clear stock for new merchandise, they have to mark old things down super low.

I have been waiting for a good VR headset to pop on the market. This one works with those needing glasses, has a nerf texture and won’t break if I drop it.

Also, compatible with my phone.

Let the record show that the first thing I did was revisit my childhood city in Google Street View, then promptly put up some cartoons in the theater mode.

I WAS WATCHING ONE OF MY AMV VIDEOS IN A VR THEATER TO TEST OUT THE FEATURES AND THERE’S LIKE THIS CHAT THING YOU CAN DO WITH THE MICROPHONE AND I S2G THIS ONE GUY SPOOKED ME BY ASKING WHAT I WAS WATCHING AND I HONESTLY DIDN’T KNOW HOW TO EXPLAIN THAT I WAS WATCHING A VIDEO I MADE THAT WAS AN AMV FEATURING QUACKERJACK AND PANIC AT THE DISCO, BECAUSE HONESTLY, HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT TO SOME RANDOM PERSON WHO JUST POPPED UP BESIDE YOU AS A VIRTUAL GUY, LEGIT TALKING TO YOU AND ALL THAT?

I PANICKED, AND SAID “I DON’T KNOW”

EVEN IN THE VIRTUAL WORLD I’M A SOCIALLY AWKWARD DORK. THIS GUY WILL PROBABLY NEVER SEE ME AGAIN, AND THIS EXPERIENCE IS GOING TO HAUNT ME FOR THE REST OF THE MONTH.

I mean, it’s not that bad of a set up, but good lord, I jumped when I found out I actually wasn’t alone in it…
